here we arent trying to build a copy of some historical instrument that already exists; instead of that, we wanted to build a new instrument inspired by the organ world as it was in the 17th century, a world which no longer exists anywhere on the Peninsula. Thats why we decided to follow the suggestions of the organist and musicologist, Andrés Cea: try to create an instrument similar to the ones built by organ builders connected with the Madrid-based Ávila family and directly related to the latest innovations that Flemish, French and Italian builders introduced into the Spanish court during theire time there. The stop layout, the split keys with double keys for some sharps and flats, as well as the voicing and temperament, all of these features certainly make this a very unique instrument.
